Nerd news for normal people.

This blog was created in the hopes that it could spread news from the tech world that effects everybody. A lot of big stories are missed by people because they are presented to the niche of technophiles. These stories may not make it to the mainstream news for various reasons, but it is the goal of Disconnected to bring out the stories relevant to the general public and present them in a way that is relate-able to the general public. 

To do this stories may be simplified and some information may be omitted. Given this, Disconnected will still strive to avoid the bias of the tech community on issues that relate to us. Most stories will be accompanied by links to relevant information if you want to further your knowledge on an issue/story.

I'm a 21 year old college student currently working at a degree in Information Systems at west Michigan's Grand Valley State University. I've had a passion for technology since my early childhood. In an age dominated by gadgets and the internet, there is always excitement for those of us with a natural curiosity for such things.
